In the past few months I've been struggling to find a bit of balance. Since June, I have been increasing the number of 12-14 hour days per week. While all of those hours are a mix of teaching, waiting, and commuting, leaving my apartment at 6:30am and not getting back until 10pm 4days a week is a bit too much for many. It is so important to find that balance between work and life. A touch too much in either direction can throw off the scales completely. I am elated to begin a new trade endeavor with an acupuncturist as a replacement to a shift of group classes. The work that I have found myself doing is extremely rewarding, however it can be taxing on the body. When words and images fail and visual learners need to see something, demonstrating things without being warmed up properly can set things off in a chain reaction of injuries. Having more time to take class for myself and take care of my own body will help me take help others take care of their own.
